I'm Rie
– founder of DPO Hub and co-host of the popular Grumpy GDPR podcast.
Earlier, I've acted as Privacy Officer for Fathom Analytics (Canada), Fractional CPO for Quizrr (Sweden), external DPO for Postmark and Demio (US) and Interim DPO for Kristiania University College (Norway).
Over the years, I've worked directly with over 100 organisations in the Nordics, across the EEA and in Asia. I think it's fair to say I've done most under the GDPR. Hands-on, nitty-gritty experience.
Today, I'm a full-time in-house DPO at a 🇳🇴 national e-health solutions service provider responsible for facilitating secure and efficient electronic interactions in the healthcare sector.
I've read countless CJEU rulings – painstakingly building an Obsidian vault with all data protection-related rulings since 1969 (soon 300) – and since 2018 shared 700+ LinkedIn posts and articles with relevant updates.
As a volunteer for noyb since 2020, I've summarised 76 cases for their GDPRhub (first and only Purple status country reporter). This time-consuming, meticulour work has given me deep insights into how DPAs and courts deal with the GDPR, in practice.
